Disclaimer- This a horrible experience and I recommend not to have the backs of your earrings on to tight.

Also I am probably over exaggerating but it was scary!

So,

Today is a different blog post infact its something I never thought I would write about but yes, you have probably seen the title that's right my earring went through my ear and not the way its ment to come out it stretched my ear and went through the back.

Back story

A couple of weeks ago (about 3) I got my ears pierced for the second time the 1st time they closed up but that's a whole other story if you don't know how it works once you get your ears pierced you have to clean it day and night and keep them in for over 6 weeks until they heal.

Last night I felt my left ear and the earrings I have are golden balls with a butterfly back that looks like this ...

I felt my ear and the golden ball felt a tiny bit deeper into my ear and not as stuck out as it usually is I pushed the back of the earing when apparently I was ment to push the pole that actually goes through you ear and has the stud on the end, but being silly old me I pushed the back which did not make the stud come forward instead it made the back of my earring tight which during the night forced my stud to sink into my ear.

Yep that's right during the night my golden ball (the stud) went through my ear backwards and left a huge hole!

Because the stud was a golden ball when it pushed into the ear to go through it stretched my ear so I was left with a huge hole in my ear.

Your probably thinking "dam, that sounds painful, how did she not wake up?"

And your right how did I not wake up when there was a stud that had to stretch the hole in my ear to get through???

I woke up and watched YouTube and I remember it hurting when I lay on that side of my head whilst in bed I didn't think anything of it, it was sore the night before so it had already started to sink into my ear before I went to bed.

Once I got out of bed I looked at my ears in the mirror in horror as there was no earing in my left ear there was just one big whole.

To my surprise the back of the earing was still on the back of my ear and I thought "Its been there for 3 weeks so its probably just stuck on there with no earring to hold it. I screamed and started to sob as there was an abnormally sized whole in my ear. I called my Dad and he didn't really understand what had happened. I then resorted to calling my mum who was great as she calmed me down and gave me advice of what to do.

She said it must have come out in the night and that I should find it and wash it and put the earing back in once I had taken the back of my earing off which had stayed on the back of my ear. I looked for the earing and couldn't find it so she said I was going to have to put another one in. (This is once I had taken the back of the earring off)

When I went to take the back off which really hurt and made my ear sore) I saw and felt that there was something holding it on and that was the pole and the stud that was inside my earlobe.

My earring had not come out it had sunk into my ear.

At this point I was panicking and resorted to calling my Gran who lived round the corner she was at work but said I should call the doctors.

I called my Dad and told him it had not just fallen out in the night.

I then spoke to my Mum who said to send her a pic of the back and the front which she replied with ...

"Yeah its definitely still in your ear" At this point I was really panicking.

My mum asked when I pushed the back of the earring could you see the stud through the front but I didn't try this as it hurt too much. She also said if my Nan who came over after couldn't push the back and get it through to the front I would have to go to the doctors and if they didn't have room then it would be a hospital job.

Once my Nan got here she got straight to business and got some cold frozen sweet corn to numb my ear with she then had a look at my bloody, gross ear and pushed the earring through the hole and back out to the front where it originally was and should be. (When she did this I was really scared and cried even more because of how sore and painful it was although it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be)

She cleaned it up with some salt water and it was over my earring was back where it should be. And I hugged her in delight and said thanks as my panic was over and I was so relieved my ear was ok.

It bled a bit more after but luckily now its all good I just might have to get a bigger stud as I don't want the stud I have now to go through again as now it could as there was a big whole it could fit through.

Anyway if you don't remember any of this story at least remember this...

DO NOT PUSH THE BACK OF YOUR EARRING TO TIGHT CAUSE IT COULD LEAD TO WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY THIS MORNING.
